Lying in bed with my mp3 on and the rain falling outside.Doing my drama and SC. I read virtually anything, dabble in poems and mutter under my breath. Loves pretty earrings, reading fanfic, baking desserts and cats, fiery tempered and silently contemplative. Occasionally disorganised. And a firm believer that a little bit of whimsy always does us some good.

Una vida, ein herz, nueea, seishou, et une haleine.
One life, one heart, one flesh, one breath and one spirit.
KCSC, one body.

Back from SC camp, and I really have to say that it was beyond excellent.
It made me think about what it means to be a councillor, made me question whether I've lived up to my role. And it made me realise how much we need unity, to grow as one student council. To quote Harry Potter - "And we must unite inside her/Or we'll crumble from within" (sorry, couldn't resist. =)

But it really is true. We have to put aside all our individual conflicts if we want to achieve that common goal. We can't afford to let them break us apart and stop us functioning as one body. Because by now, we truly know what it means to band together and come out stronger after a storm - we've done it.

It was really a lot of fun though. The nightwalk and everybody freaking out with Alicia's "In 1979, something happened..." (lol) and linking arms to walk around the school (but looking around corners with a torch first). Playing the scissors-paper-stone game and getting completely drenched in icy water and flooding the driveway. Spoofing Sister Act courtesy of Hinna and Vicki. Writing warm fuzzies. The friendship dance which made yours truly very dizzy. And of course, the very inspirational talk by Cheryl and Alicia.

I feel so much passion for council now. To make up for the effort I've neglected to put in and make a difference along with the other juniors. I agree with what the ex-cos said - we have a bond no one else can break and together, we'll bring this council to even greater heights.

The Council Pledge

We, the councillors of CHIJ Katong Convent,
pledge our wholehearted loyalty and passion to the school
to carry out our duties as student leaders
and to be ever mindful of the honour,
discipline, and good name of our school.
As the chosen ones,
we will serve with integrity
and as God wills.
